•Analyzes claims using AI models and established verification methodologies (CRAAP test, Admiralty Code)
•Publishes verification assessments with verdicts, confidence levels, and cited sources
•Provides a public dashboard for browsing verified stories, trending topics, and storylines

3. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Important Notice

All fact-check assessments on Signify News are generated by artificial intelligence. While we employ rigorous methodologies and cite verifiable sources:

•AI assessments may contain errors, inaccuracies, or incomplete analysis
•Verdicts represent the AI's analysis at a point in time and may not reflect subsequent developments
•Our assessments are not a substitute for professional journalism, legal advice, or expert analysis
•Users should independently verify information before making decisions based on our assessments

We provide sources with every assessment so you can verify our verification.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

•Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws
•Attempt to interfere with, compromise, or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
•Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Service in an automated manner that exceeds reasonable use, except as permitted by our robots.txt
•Misrepresent Signify News assessments as your own work, or present them out of context in a misleading manner
•Attempt to reverse-engineer our AI systems or verification processes

5. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, AI systems, and original content, is owned by Parallax Inc and protected by intellectual property laws.

Fact-check assessments may be shared and referenced with attribution to Signify News, including a link to the original assessment page.

Social media content analyzed by our Service remains the property of its respective authors. Our use of such content for fact-checking purposes constitutes fair use / fair dealing for the purpose of commentary and public interest reporting.

6. Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PARALLAX INC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

•Reliance on AI-generated assessments or verdicts
•Errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in fact-check content
•Service interruptions or unavailability
•Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data

7. Public Figures & Public Interest

Signify News analyzes public statements made by public figures and organizations on matters of public interest. Our fact-checking activities constitute protected commentary and criticism under applicable law.

If you believe a fact-check assessment contains factual errors regarding your statements, you may contact us to request a review. We are committed to accuracy and will promptly investigate and correct confirmed errors.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

Sections regarding intellectual property, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law survive termination.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Parallax Inc, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be indicated by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts located in Delaware.
